Ambassador International University in Zambia is training African pastors and nurses to
serve in their homelands. The students come from Zambia and the surrounding countries. Their education is sponsored by people in the US. The students each work 20 hours each week on campus as part of their tuition. They also receive training in a trade so that they will be able to support themselves when they graduate. Currently they have about 100 students, but they are growing. They plan to grow to 600 students.
Chifundo Rural Health Center is on the campus of Ambassador University. It serves the staff and students of the university, but also serves a huge number of local people who walk as much as 15 miles for medical treatment. The people will walk past the government clinics because Chifundo provides higher quality care. The staff delivers babies in all kinds of circumstances, gives hundreds of immunizations, provides malnutrition supplements, diagnoses and treats illnesses, etc. All the while, they are sharing the Gospel of Jesus.
